You can get a prothesis in the form of a hip replacement. Here a deficiency is rectified by prothesis or restorative measure. The maladjusted self that is us is healed and stimulated into wholeness by Christ our life, aka Christ come in our flesh.

We become Christlike because Christ is in us and becomes us. We live koinonia not because we have learned to bandy about this word but because the nature of the trinity is expressed in us by Christ. This is how koinonia is a reality and not just a slogan. love is everything. It is Jesus Christ who loves us even when we don’t love ourselves.
